Ellaeenah’s Message for 2008

My Beautiful Travelers on Soul’s Journey, we have come to the end of yet another year, and it is time to review the year just passed before we think of the coming one. In 2007 we have lost and found, cried and laughed, fought and reconciled, fell and risen, have been defeated and have tasted victory. Much like any other year, you might say. And yet, not quite. 2007 was the Year of Self-Empowerment…through every moment of trial and test, of victory and win, we became stronger and experienced our inner power in a manner that was almost tangible. Like tempered steel, we have gone through our personal furnaces and though we have not come out unscathed, we have certainly come through shining and new.

Many were hit rather harshly at their most sensitive and vulnerable places…their Achilles heel?.....and yet found the strength not to blame the arrow that found its mark so unerringly. Through the bleeding they questioned, ‘why am I so weak at this point?’ To these brave souls I doff my hat and open my heart. To those who found the pain too deep to endure, I assure you that in 2008, you, too, will find the strength to look within. Draw on my strength and my power, my dear lost and wounded friend, and allow me to embrace you as you find your way through the nettles. Energy does not need a face and place, and you will know that I am with you as soon as you have called my name and connected with my energies. And just as certainly as you know that, know too that I will call upon your strengths when I am faltering and wondering where the next curve in the road will take me. That is the immense power of Divine Love which does not need physicality in order to radiate.

Now what does 2008 have in store for us? Being the Year of Manifestation, the power we found in the last year, can now be used to give flight to our desires. In years gone by, the reality we have experienced has been influenced largely by the external environment, either through deep familial and social conditioning, or through our thoughts and beliefs which we were unconscious of. It is now time to be conscious of what we think and believe. It is time to review our attitudes so that we know whether they are working for us or against.

Instead of blaming our critics, let us look for a glimmer of gold in the surrounding dirt, so that we may grow even when we are being pulled down by souls who condemn us in their own pain. Instead of wasting precious time in defending ourselves and cooking up excuses for what we do, let us glow in the warmth of our strengths and be gentle in the understanding of our flaws.

Let us greet every sunshine with a smile of gratitude and be thankful for the rain that allows us to weep away our pain in the privacy of our heart.  Miracles are small and several in number, but they pass us by because we look for those that are few and in our face. The rays of the sun, the cool of the breeze, the gentleness of the rain, the laughter of children, the embrace of love, the acceptance of a friend, all these are miracles in our life. Flowers, fruits, trees, clouds, waterfalls, mountains, birds, bees, dolphins, whales, all these are clues that we exist as God and God lives through us. It is indeed a wise person who said ‘When you are in a state of gratitude, Life gives you more to be grateful for.”

May 2008 be the year when you make a vow not to blame anyone…not even yourself. Make it the year when you learn the true difference between responsibility and blame, between need and compulsion, between the stranglehold of obsession and the freedom of love. May YOU be the wind beneath your wings and soar to the heights you had dreamt of. Hold on gently to all, so that those who leave will do so with a backward glance of affection, and those who enter will easily find their rightful place. Look into each face and see your own, look at yours and see God.
