Money plays a very important role in your life, as it should. As it should. But do you know WHY? It is not because it makes you rich; it is not because it gives you plenty, it is because it is the standard, the flag bearer, the instrument with which you measure your energy. And that you have not realized.

When you go to buy something which strongly attracts you, and then you use these words, “I cannot afford this” not to buy it, you instantly put out energy of lack into your energy field. If you do not have the money, funds, at that moment in time, do not say I cannot afford it. Say instead “At this present moment in time I do not have the physical translation of my abundance.” In these words you have acknowledged two vital facts; one and of prime importance is the acknowledgement that there is abundance. And two, that it has not physically manifested at present, which instantly takes you towards taking steps to towards that manifestation.

Let us give you other examples. When things come free to you, how do you feel?

Happy

You feel happy. But do you understand that nothing comes free. Do you understand that you have either expended your energies already which are only being reimbursed to you or that the universe is aware that you have to expend a large amount of energy in the future and is giving you a buffer stock? Nothing comes free. And how can it? Energy must flow everywhere. If it were uni-directional it would create vacuums in your energy fields, in your universe, which would eventually translate to physical voids, the consequences of which we will not discuss here.

So welcome that which comes free, yes, but with the awareness of why it has come free. Be aware of each moment and each event in your life. Do not accept anything without knowledge.

No, we do not mean this as humour; we mean to draw your attention to the fact that growth in all areas and knowledge in all areas is equally important, and money is not a tainted subject to talk of.

Why are you all so ashamed, fearful, miserly with money? When you give out the energy of abundance how can it not be replaced by like energy? And if you are down to your last note of money and you give that out, with true joy of abundance, you will never have an empty purse. But everything is first evaluated by – can I afford it? Is it worth this much? And how do you judge its worth? Not by the energy benefit that you have got. You judge the worth of everything even something as small as a pen, and something which so many of you consider as insignificant as the services of your employee. What is its worth? Can I make him work one more hour without paying for it? Of course your employee will work, but you have to pay for it. And sometimes money payment is easier. Sometimes money payment is easier. Nothing comes to you free.

Ask yourselves now; what role does money play in my life? Why do I hold onto it, so fiercely? When you refuse to open your fist you make no room for the abundance of the universe to come to you. When you wish to receive something you must open your fist. It is the open palm that receives, not the closed, tight fist. And what is the significance of opening the palm? It is surrendering your vanity, your boastfulness, and your past residuary energies and saying “I let it all go. And I receive fresh, revitalizing energies of joy and abundance into my life.” Neither miserliness nor an overt show of spending reveals abundance. Both reveal lack.
The most difficult situation is putting a monetary value on the energy that you have received or given; not on the object, not on the service… THE ENERGY.

Question : Cannot I not simply say “I don’t wish to afford it now?”

You don’t wish to afford it? You don’t wish to welcome it into physical manifestation now. Don’t use the word afford. In your human terms, the word afford is now synonymous with lack. It is not synonymous with abundance. And though you may not mean it consciously as such, the vibrations of the word have taken on the vibrations of generations of human intent. Do not use this word.
