Jade Fire:
Good evening, children.
Good evening, sir.
What would you like to discuss today?
Sir, it’s been told earlier that we have a lesson that we have to learn. What I want to ask you is why it is necessary for us to learn these lessons.
Son, you have already learnt all there is to learn. You are here to experience the lessons that you have learnt in order to convert knowledge into wisdom. As a Spark, when you separated, due to the veils put upon you, the knowledge, that is still not wisdom, that is inherent in the spark, is also veiled from conscious memory. Due to this, the Spark follows the path of duality which is distinct from that of unity. The path of duality must therefore have good and bad, up and down, rich and poor all seemingly opposite. And yet not opposite at all. Merely different facets of the same. But this path of duality brings with it cause and effect which you have often called karma. All actions, thoughts, words all have cause and effect, and the spark must continue it’s journey till all cause and effect have balanced. During these journeys, lessons are taught to the spark when the Spark is on our side. These are not new lessons. They merely endeavour to re-awaken the latent knowledge the Spark already possesses. This knowledge is brought up to conscious memory and with this conscious memory the spark then endeavours to convert passive, dormant knowledge into acting, living, breathing wisdom. Once knowledge is transformed into dynamic wisdom, cause and effect will automatically begin to come into balance. Does that answer your question, dear one?
Not fully. I often come across and think ‘Why am I trying to learn this lesson?" And I don’t get an answer for it. Even if I pray, I don’t get an answer for it.
The question you more often than not ask, dear one, is not why am I learning this lesson but what lesson do I have to learn? And that is the one question that is your great hurdle, is it not so? When a seemingly impossible situation encounters you and stands tall and looming in your path, the little knowledge that you have converted to wisdom makes you aware enough to know that this situation has come to you so that you might learn something from it. But very rarely are you told what you have to learn. You are asked to look deep within and to find the answer for yourself. And this quest is one that is daunting, is one, which as this little one said, does not seem to respond to your prayers and you are left with this confusion "What lesson must I learn? If only I knew, I would learn this lesson." And the answer does not come. Let us take these situations. Let us take some of the common encounters and then if we have time, we might permit you to give us your special hurdles and we will tell you what lessons can be learnt from them.
Let us take that one hurdle that is common for so many, the hurdle of relationships. We will here take all relationships in general because the lessons to be learnt are rather similar in nature. You will find that relationships just do not work out, whether it is with your parents, husband, wife, your own children, and friends; somehow all relationships tend to go sour upon you. Now what is the lesson you should learn from this? Your lesson is one of clinging. When you cling too hard you suffocate the relationship. It is not a hold but a stranglehold that you have. For love to thrive and blossom, in order to be nurtured and spread, it must be allowed freedom, full and complete freedom. A freedom that comes from the joy of giving, a freedom that comes from no detachments that are strived for. The relationship is precious and yet you are detached. In that freedom relationships grow. But, my little ones, study all your relationships. Do you not cling? And do these relationships not die? So when relationships form hurdles for you, the Divine Spark is being urged to allow itself and another Spark to grow in all its wonder without strangleholds, without claws, reins, strings and all the other little games that you play with those you claim to love. The lesson to be learnt is the purity of detachment. To love, not for any expectation, but to love because that is all the Divine Spark knows how to do.
Let us go on to another common hurdle, that of money, wealth, material possessions and how they just seem to elude and for others who have it all, the contentment and joy that one expects from such wealth and abundance seems to elude, and therefore, there is poverty. What is the lesson to be learnt from this? The lesson to be learnt is that just as the Divine Spark is abundant in itself and needs nothing to feed it but can grow with its own abundance that generates within itself, the outer world is only this manifestation of abundance. And yet when you look around you see not abundance but only lack. And that is why you have your bank accounts and safety boxes and the fear that someone will take it all away from you. The lesson to be learnt is abundance. Nature has given itself to you to use her in whatever way you desire but without the expectation of lack. Why do you horde and why do you store and why do you save and why do you constantly collect? Because you constantly expect lack. And, dear ones, we have repeatedly, repeatedly told you what you expect is what you will get. Your every day is spent in planning how to be one little step ahead of lack. If you would only change that and try to be arm in arm in step with abundance, you will never face this hurdle. Money and possessions, wealth, all of this is only a physical manifestation of universal energy, but you reject that universal energy because when you see the physical manifestation of that universal energy you at once want to grab it and save it and hide it. Universal energy is for you and for all that are part of this wonderful unity. When you grab, when you snatch, when there is greed, when there is a constant want, all of this comes from the sure expectation of lack. And why does the Divine Spark that knows within itself abundance, why does this Divine Spark expect lack? Because in its journeys of duality, it had experienced a lack in a small area because duality shows what is and what is not. And the Spark must experience both. But, dear ones, the Spark remembers more clearly and with more power and force what is not and what is must be constantly reminded. And therefore, the expectation of lack.
Let us now take another common hurdle. The addictions that you all suffer from. The obsessions that you hold tight. Addiction to drink, smoke, to food, addiction to work, addiction to pleasure, addiction to money, obsession with power and fame. These are hurdles. What lesson do you have to learn from these addictions and obsessions? The answer to this lies in an even greater question. Why is the drink essential? Why is the cigarette so necessary? Why must one work for 24 hours of the day? Why does another obsessively seek for pleasure? In the course of the dual journeys that the Divine Spark had taken, the light within the Spark was not permitted to spread itself. We have spoken to you about the conditioning of the mind and we ask you to pay close attention to this. The mind or the mental being that comes with embodiment is conditioned in two ways. One is the conditioning of the physical environment around the embodied Spark. But there is an even greater, more powerful conditioning which has an even tighter hold and that is conditioning of the mind through soul memory. As the Spark takes journey after journey and experiences several situations of cause and effect, the ego being of the Spark, the ego being which is quite different from the Self, the ego is the exterior physical body and mind being. The ego being of the Spark begins to adopt certain habits which help the ego being to perpetuate itself as ego. This habit generates a power that can set off an energy spiral from which it is extremely difficult to break out. Every energy spiral thus formed perpetuates the ego and dims the light of self. Are we clear? This light is rejuvenated when it comes to our side but when it is embodied it is covered by the conditioning of the mind from soul memory. As the light dims further, the Spark strives hard and harder and harder for the light to be reborn. But it knows only one way to strive and that is through its ego. And when it strives through ego it takes the help of physical objects. Addictions, obsessions. It is the Spark’s striving to reach its own light. The man who drinks, in his deepest point of alcoholism is really in closest connection to Spark. Through the drug and through the cigarette, that addict is in closest connection to Spark. Through work, the obsessed man reaches a point deep within which he can touch and say "This is I." Through sex, the addict can distinctly see ego and self. Do you now understand why an addiction is so difficult to break? How will the ego leave that path through which the Spark can be reclaimed? How? Another path must be presented. Only then can this old tried and tested path be given up.
Let us take a 4th hurdle. That of health. There are those that are constantly suffering from one or the other ailment. Sometimes all of them seem to take a special pride of place within one individual itself. Why does this hurdle come up? What is the lesson the Spark wishes to experience and convert into wisdom? That knowledge that I am Spark but I am not this (physical body). I AM. . This exists but I AM. In order for this to exist, it has its wants and desires and grabbings and greeds but I AM. And when this is not satisfied (pointing to the body) and when you have forgotten I AM for every dissatisfaction this (the body) will manifest a hole. And into this hole will reside an illness. And that is your 4th hurdle.
Whenever a hurdle presents itself to you, look for its opposite. In that opposite lies the knowledge that must be converted into wisdom. Poverty- abundance, disease- health, lack of love- love. That is the question you strive so hard to find. What lesson must I learn? And if no other answer is forthcoming, to you we give you one which can override all answers and that one answer is I AM. The knowledge of I AM, when converted into dynamic wisdom of this state will shatter every encounter that will come your way. No other, no other lesson needs to be looked for. I AM. And if this knowledge is converted into that wisdom, then you are all that you desire to be. Because in that dynamism lies the power of all creation, all manifestation. I AM and you are. In this power of I AM find all your truth. But I AM for most is not even dormant knowledge. For most, the dormant knowledge power itself has been given away into the hands of another. And therefore you are sad about another’s words and happy about another’s praise and thrilled with a success and despondent with a failure and gleeful when money comes your way and angered and frustrated when it leaves. And this is because even the dormant knowledge power of I AM has not been acknowledged by you. If the dormant knowledge is not yours, how will you convert this into dynamic wisdom?
Sir, what is the distinction between knowledge and wisdom?
Reading a book, understanding every word very clearly is knowledge. Living the book is wisdom.
We are ready for your questions.
Sir, I have a question. With all that you have told us just now. Personally, I’m not very clear. How do we overcome all this, especially this expectation of lack in everything?
We will ask you to do something that might even be fun for many. Write a story and convert it into your own little drama. And have fun doing it. What story will you ask? Write a story that will end in the main character learning that lack is present in his world. And then when you have finished the story and you have played the drama and you have experienced the lack it’s time to write another story. Now we would like you to write the sequel to this story and the story will start where the 1st story ended. And this time, the main character after having experienced lack, will experience abundance. This will then complete the knowledge that in duality there is lack and abundance and where you the main character will direct your life everyday. Write your story everyday. And by doing this and by having fun, lack will convert into its true form and that is abundance.
Another way of converting lack into abundance is to completely focus only on abundance. How will you do this? Have a bowl of water placed where it will not be disturbed. It must be so full that even a drop will cause to spill it over. Every morning, see your reflection in this abundance. Breathe it in, feel the flow of abundance entering your being and washing over you. At night, before you sleep, take one drop of water and gently place it in. You will find the water will not spill over because through the day at some time you experienced the expectation of lack. Refill your bowl of abundance at once and breathe it in again and sleep with abundance washing over you. There will come a time when abundance will become the habit. You will have rewritten it over the old expectation of lack. And when abundance is a habit, all is yours. |
