Today is Fathers’ Day. Let us use the natural energies of the day to better understand masculine energy. Our Earth is ruled by two primary rays….Ray 4 and Ray 5. We have understood Ray 4 as the Ray of Harmony through Conflict, but now we do know that the true essence of the ray is that of Universal Beauty, Art and Music. As soon as we describe it in its true essence we understand that this ray is the feminine energy. Maybe that is why all hurricanes are given names of women…typical manifestation of Ray 4.

Ray 5 is the ray of concrete knowledge… the application in everyday life of the knowledge and wisdom that you hold within. That is of course the masculine energy. We see, thus, that Earth has been created out of the dual strands of energy: masculine and feminine. In its very creation lies the truth of our own existence, for if I am the Earth and the earth is I, then I am also ruled primarily by Ray 4 and Ray 5…feminine and masculine.

When these two rays are in perfect harmony within us, there is no imbalance; there is no residue of debris that has to be deliberately removed at a later period in time. In truth, this union takes place momentarily once in a long while, or in some may not take place at all.

If we understand these energies better we will be able to strive towards this union in a more practical manner. Our understanding of the masculine and feminine energies has up date been rather abstract, rather esoteric. We do use words to enhance our understanding like creation and action, but still the practical knowledge, awareness and recognition is incomplete in most.

Last Sunday we spoke of consciousness and knowingness, and I understand clearly that these are two aspects of recognition of the masculine and feminine energies. Consciousness is the realm of the feminine energy and knowingness is the realm of the masculine energy.

Today, though I will touch upon the feminine energy, I choose to primarily focus on the masculine energy. We all know that the feminine energy creates…but few understand clearly what it creates. In order to understand what the executionary, masculine energy truly does, we have to understand what the feminine energy creates. Creation does not have the limited meaning of painting, music, art, sculpture and so on, that many have attributed to it. It goes far beyond that. Often when I point out to someone that their energy structure holds within it a significant proportion of creative energy, they oppose this statement saying “I am not artistic at all…I have no creative skills.”

The feminine energy is not about a talent; it’s about your ability to create. It creates moment to moment, situations and experiences that you require in that moment of NOW to draw your concrete mind awareness to a particular inner state or dialogue. That, in fact, is your most important creation.

Creation means origination, initiation, innovation, conception.  To create is to make or produce. Thus the feminine energy seeks to replace the old with the new, to enhance what already exists, to avoid the state of stagnancy, passivity and fearful complacency. Energy can only create energy, and has the strongest ability to create more of itself. It is in this understanding that the keys to the kingdom of heaven lie. If within you the energy of Divine Will predominates the energy of personal will, if the energy of Divine Love flows stronger than the energy of personal love, if Divine Wisdom is the force behind the expanded personal knowledge, then energy will create more of this inner state of beingness and your life is filled with the joy of abundance and harmonious interaction.   The reverse does not need to be stated and can easily be understood by you. This, my dear, dear friends, is the simple truth of the Universal Law of Attraction.  

Feminine energy is the initiator of that which we call intuition. You may look around at the external environment as it presents itself to you, and your senses will hear and see and touch and smell and taste the appropriate aspects of the external physical environment/experience which will then draw forth from you a ‘knowledgeable’ response/reaction. But, Consciousness draws information from the non-physical environment, not relying on the limited abilities of the senses or the concrete mind. Knowledge draws its reason from the senses and the concrete; consciousness goes beyond reason.

I happened to hear a conversation at a café yesterday which amply illustrates this. One of the patrons was telling his friends that he had been presented with a business proposition a short while ago which, on paper, seemed completely fool proof and without any loopholes or glitches. Though his mental abilities were completely satisfied by all the terms and conditions, his gut said ‘no’. When he turned it down, all around him called him unreasonable and foolish. A month later he read in the papers that the company that had approached him had run into severe difficulty. The feminine energy within this man had created an internal environment that would communicate its consciousness to the man. 

Often people misunderstand ‘intuition’ as feeling. Intuition is the communication of the consciousness of the feminine energy. If your energy structure is one that is receptive to feeling, the communication will take that form. But if you have an energy structure that responds well to mental impulses, the communication will be through thoughts that repeat themselves again and again. In this case, the feminine energy creates a thought pattern for you, because this is what you respond best to. If you respond best to the spoken word, the feminine energy will communicate its consciousness to you through the spoken word. Feminine energy uses any medium that you are open to in order to enrich your life by the wealth of your personal consciousness. This is the process of intuition.

This is not a process that happens to ‘some’ people…. it happens to all. Then why is it that some people are considered intuitive while others are not? This is because your masculine energy which has to process the communication and take appropriate action, often gets stuck in the conditioned ‘knowledge’ of the word, feeling, or thought, and the memories attached with it. When it is thus entrapped the consciousness that had to be translated into knowingness is then left incomplete. Conditioning is the sum result of the inner dialogue and the external environment which we internalize to make into our truth. 

Now what does the masculine energy do? It uses the energy of ‘creation’ released by the feminine energy and begins to structure an environment that is appropriate for the action that it has to take. This refers to the internal environment. Intuition presents through thought, feeling or word, a catalyst which the masculine energy responds to, by setting into motion structures in the emotional and mental bodies that are appropriate for the action that will follow. But when the masculine energy is strongly entrapped in internalized truths (conditioning) then it does not have the power to form the strong structures and the structures formed cause dissonance within you. If the structures are formed with the energy of your own truths, the result will be internal clarity, complete faith, and unshakeable belief. These truths have no negative interpretations or connotations attached to any external environment as they are formed within the realm of your personal consciousness.

If the masculine energy is held back by conditioning as it very, very often is, how will this environment be created? The first thing you have to be completely aware of is the medium through which your feminine energy communicates with you…. feeling, thought, spoken word, written word, imagery.  When you are aware of this medium, you will instantly be able to recognize that moment when the feminine energy is in communication with you. The realization and recognition of that moment will result in the collapse of the constricted belief system, and you get into a state of readiness and receptivity for that communication. You respond to it as easily as you respond to the telephone bell that rings. Now the masculine energy can form the environment that is most suitable for Right Action. 

Though the environment formed is always an internal environment, in many, many instances it is also supported by the formation of n external environment. This external environment would give you the physical experience to hear, speak, see, what the feminine energy wishes to communicate with you. The masculine energy thus takes the energy of the truth of consciousness and converts it into action outside of you. Action does not always mean something that you do; it could also mean an action being taken by another which you are observing in order to convert your personal consciousness into knowingness. It can be compared to getting involved in the action taking place in a movie/book and through that action reaching some of your own truths. Action thus refers to any environment that is formed by the masculine energy in order to aid in the process of communication between your concrete mind and your consciousness, i.e. feminine energy.

The nest step that the masculine energy has to do is to release power so that you assimilate the action. This power might be strength, courage, bravery, assertion, constancy…. Let us take an example. The environment formed for you is that of two of your friends quarrelling with each other in your presence, each asking you to take his side. This environment may cause you to get into inner conflict because you feel pressured and unsure.  The masculine energy releases for you the power required by you, whatever it might be, to respond to that environment, instead of reacting to it.

Having done that the masculine energy begins to release its strongest force of Ray 5….Knowingness of the Concrete Mind. Thus it gives you the ability to think, rationalize, so that you can appropriately analyze the situation with an expanded mind rather than a mind caught by self-defeating emotions.

The masculine energy has the ability to reason and feel. The feminine energy does not have ability to feel. The feminine energy only has the ability to be conscious of itself. When you are in touch with your feelings, it is because your masculine energy responds to the impulse created by the feminine energy.

This analysis of the situation eliminates negative thought patterns and brings about mental and emotional equilibrium. Analysis is not the same as intellectualization which uses external truths in order to constrict the internal environment and prevent expansion. Thus you can see how important the masculine energy is for all of us.

When the masculine energy is not functioning out of the strength of your own truths the environment formed outside of you are experiences that you get personally involved in, entrapped in. Instead of observing the quarrel, for instance, you are part of it. That is a vital clue for you, showing you whether your masculine energy is imbalanced by conditioning or not. The action taken by the masculine energy is an important element for our awareness…. Does the action personally involve you in the conflict, or are you observing it? Please understand that even though you are participating in a situation, you can still be uninvolved in it and observe the interaction.

Whatever kind of environment is formed by the masculine energy, is one that is permitted by the consciousness of the feminine energy. Consciousness is so glorious that it permits action even to be formed out of imbalanced masculine energy, so that it can strongly ‘catch your attention’. If you are constantly getting involved in situations and not observing them, you know now that your masculine energy is constricted by the strictures of the truths of others that you have internalized. You are your own prison!!!! Often this is misunderstood as an imbalanced feminine energy because you experience yourself getting caught in situations and being hurt.

You have often noticed that in meetings such as these, or in workshops, even when someone has a deep emotional breakdown, you are able to observe the situation, take appropriate action, and not get emotionally caught. If this same situation were to happen elsewhere, this is not your response. Why? In a meeting such as this, the collective consciousness urges your personal consciousness to exude the creative energy used by the masculine to access the truths of your consciousness. 

The masculine energy helps you to construct a structure of self-responsibility for yourself. This is not about boundaries and constraints and binds and chains. Self responsibility and self discipline is a manifested form of your own truths. You take the truths of your personal consciousness, and not the truths of others, to construct a framework of functioning and existence through which you can best expand, by the creation of a belief system appropriate to you.

The ideal belief system is one that constantly evolves, changes, expands and has no boundaries. The belief system is constructed by the masculine energy. The feminine energy is the holder of Consciousness.

Masculine energy is able to take the consciousness of the whole and translate it into the consciousness of a detail. Consciousness of the whole goes beyond this room, this city, this planet, this universe… Being conscious of ALL I am also conscious of Sohrab as separate from me… consciousness of the detail. If you did not have masculine energy, you would not be able to recognize detail. It would all be ONE. Maybe you will understand this to mean that it would be better then not to have masculine energy so that you would experience UNITY easily without having to strive so hard for it. True… but when we, Collective Consciousness, chose our path of evolution we empathically chose to experience two distinct strands of energy. We did not choose one strand of androgynous energy. Why must you, then resist the very path of evolution that YOU as Collective Consciousness chose to experience?

Our path of evolution is thus clearly before us…. It is through the consciousness of detail…of personal consciousness…that you reach the completeness of truth of Cosmic Consciousness, by going through the intermediary Collective Consciousness. The masculine energy thus, has to make you aware of detail, of separation, for it is through that awareness that you move towards Cosmic Consciousness.

We have given feminine energy an exalted position in our belief system… goddess, creator…..and undermined the masculine energy. But the truth is that our daily life is ruled and influenced by the masculine energy. Thus our endeavour should be to strengthen our masculine energy, to ensure that it functions out of the energy of our own truths.

Feminine energy gets into imbalance ONLY WHEN the masculine energy is in imbalance. Feminine energy is the realm of consciousness and thus is in balance due to its very nature; when the masculine energy is very constricted consciousness is not able to convert itself into the realm of knowingness and thus the female energy gets into a state of imbalance, because the feminine energy needs to be in a state of constant conversion in order to stay in balance.

The ‘ratio’ of masculine-feminine energy that your energy matrix has chosen remains constant….always. Let us assume that your matrix has chosen 60:40, 60 being the masculine energy part. This ratio will not change until you choose another energy matrix. Whatever is the state of expansion you are in, the ratio will not change.  As consciousness expands the feminine energy expands but masculine expands and grows in direct proportion. The ratio remains the same, whether you are in balance or imbalance. Thus imbalanced masculine energy refers to a constricted masculine energy and does not refer to a differing ratio of masculine energy to feminine energy. Thus the so-called imbalanced masculine energy dwells in a structure that is formed out of the external truths that have been internalized, and not from the truths rising out of the purity and strength of personal consciousness. You have used someone else’s tools to build your home, and someday or the other the neighbour will want his tools back.

No one in current human embodiment can choose the ratio of 50:50. Does it mean that if the energy structure you have chosen has a greater proportion of feminine energy, this puts you in a place of disadvantage? Not at all. However little the proportion of the masculine energy may be, if it is established in the purity and strength of the feminine energy, it has the power to take Right Action.

In our evolution journey, in dimensions we cannot fathom, the proportion will automatically fall into the 50/50 ratio, as we consciously move into the unity of ALL. Thus the harmony between masculine and feminine energies is brought about by lessening the gap between consciousness and knowingness.

Do you now understand why many of the balancing exercises are supported by a great many affirmations? These are to rewrite the belief system, thus strengthening the masculine energy. 

Let me give you an example. Have you seen those places on earth where hot gases stream out from the surface of the earth? Below the ground is the realm of your consciousness which releases its truths, its energy, through those gases. The masculine energy takes these gases and converts it into Right Action. That is why it is important that the soul experiences everything, because it is through Right Action of all these experiences that consciousness converts to knowingness…. Gyana Yoga.

When your structure, as an adult, is a firm and healthy one, you can aid your child to construct its own structure that is based on its own truths. Having a greater proportion of masculine energy does not stop you from fully experiencing your realm of personal consciousness, and having a greater proportion of feminine energy does not stop you from taking Right Action.
