Reach out, my friends, reach out in love,
‘Tis but the cry of a lonely Dove!
Crying for love,for strength and support,
Looking o’er the seas,for sight of a port !

Bewildered and confused,
Light within her diffused
In this moment of heartache
That the Dove doth partake!

She knows not where to turn
Lest she may indeed be spurn,
Where to rest her tired head
And her heart that feels like lead !

O! She loves to sing and dance
And hop and play and prance,
If only from her heart the ache
Loving hands could come and take !

Open your eyes, your heart, your arm
To enfold this Dove with words of calm,
She asks of you no more, my friends
But your tender love, your friendship to blend !

A lonely heart, a restless mind
Is sure worse than a prison bind,
For prison gates doth allow the breeze
But none, O none, when the heart doth freeze !

Pray I to Thee, My Beloved One,
The dove doth say to the Radiant Sun,
Drop a kiss upon my saddened eye,
And soar will I, bidding sorrow goodbye !

We all my friends, some time or other,
Like the lonely Dove, with sorrow doth smother,
Reach out my friends, with words of love, a healing touch,
That costs you no cent, to the other means so much !
