Wanna go for a drive?
Driving your car is so much like living life
itself…how? Let my driving skills do the explaining…!
Here I am ready to reach to my next destination, I
start up the car and say a quick ‘thank you God’ for
the experience, cover the car with my Reiki symbols
and see it completely protected. This is much like
waking up to a new day and grounding yourself into the
womb of Mother Earth.
While I am still driving through busy roads and
traffic, I calm myself by listening to some music and
humming along the way. It’s like saying yes I know
there are loads of things to do today but I choose to
stay calm and take one task at a time. (Who said
stress was good for health?) So gradually along the
busy roads you receive calls from various people –
some are work related, some are cool i.e. when friends
call in to say…”Where’s the party tonight?” some are
reminders of the fact that you exist in a family and
some are completely not required. Its like saying
while you are driving there are other drivers you pass
through…some are very careful of the potholes, some
are driving as though they never care to return back
home, some are quite cool and smooth.
Okay so I am on the highway and I quite know the way
too, but feel a sense of uncertainty as though maybe
it’s the next turn and not this one? So after much
hesitation I stop on the way to get right directions,
only to learn that I was right anyways! This is much
like sorting an issue…u know that you can choose to do
so in the best manner possible but you make the choice
of fretting and fuming and running the play button a
100 times to get it all messed up. Then there are
times when you know you are driving along the correct
road obviously because you’ve made this trip so many
times…but your mind would not let you be in peace till
you finally reach. Its like you’ve raved and ranted
over a particular aspect of your life so many times,
all in vain.
I am now driving across a relatively spaced out road
and suddenly see so many people surrounding a vehicle.
What’s next? It’s an accident where in a truck smashed
a car and no one can make out a thing. There are cops
and ambulances and lots of traffic. I somehow gather
the strength to drive through this busy road and ask
myself to be calm. I have so many thoughts running
across my mind, what happened to the passengers? What
next? Its like saying there are times when you hear of
and know of people having problems and although you
have nothing to do with it – you merely observe and
say Thank god its not happening to me, you learn to
appreciate life the way IT IS!
