For many on their spiritual journeys, the words portals and star-gates have become a catch phrase…something to talk of to show your ‘knowledge’ or to desperately desire to reach and access. But, if you would only take a few moments to think with the mental faculties bestowed upon you, you would instantly be aware that every moment in your life can be a star-gate and a portal…. if only you would intend it to be so. When you give so much importance to just another cosmic event, which takes place as a natural course of the constant unfolding of the universal picture, you state in no uncertain terms that you are smaller than the universe, not as powerful, and completely dependent upon the stars for your enrichment and empowerment.

Of course we all know that stars, planets and heavenly bodies have an influence upon our energies, but have you ever stopped to think that, as a universal body in your own divine right, you are constantly influencing the stars, planets and heavenly bodies as well? No, you probably have not, because you do not give yourself as much importance and significance as you do the stars and planets, galaxies and constellations… all of which you can neither see nor touch, but whose importance has grown because you have willed your own significance to pale in their comparison.

As a result of this, every such event becomes a ‘special occasion’ for a meditation, for a period of silence, forgiveness, healing…whatever.  Oh, my dear, dear friend, step out of your own shadow and SEE that all you are doing at these times is attempting to hide your ‘smallness’ behind what you perceive as a ‘mega event’. Understand, beloved one, that you are receiving no energy, no enhancement, no power, from this event at all…. because  all your life you have lived too scared to make a mistake, too tentative to state your divinity, and too appalled by your humanness.

My glorious friend, there is no heavenly body more powerful than you. Do not allow anyone to make you believe otherwise. Let another whose shadow is too dark to allow them to see their own Light, deceive themselves with their illusions, but do not accept these illusions and convince yourself that all else in the Universe is greater than you. When you focus on the star-gate outside of you, you indulge in separation; when you believe that its energies can empower you, you indulge in ignorance.

THE ONLY ENERGIES THAT CAN EMPOWER YOU, ENRICH YOU, STRENGTHEN YOU, AND HELP YOU GROW ARE YOUR OWN.

Read again what James Joyce has said, and let each mistake that you make be your portal to self-discovery. In this discovery is empowerment. Let yourself become the star whose Light illumines the darkness of other lives. In this is your enrichment. Let your thoughts open the gates through which Truth can enter. In this is your growth.

YOUR MOST FUNDAMENTAL DIVINE RIGHT IS THE RIGHT TO MAKE A MISTAKE. Assert that right…again and again and again….boldly, without guilt or shame…. For each time you are aware of a mistake, you are simultaneously aware of a greater truth. Each time you assert your humanness through anxiety, anger, defiance, doubt, suspicion, and the like, of which you become aware, you simultaneously pave the Divine Pathway with one more brick of your renewed strength, for you have faltered, but you have not fallen.

Do not continually fear the mistake, the human weakness, the flaw of character. These are your portals, your star-gates, your spiritual pillars. Life is a continuous meditation… it is impossible to meditate for an hour, a day, a short period of time. What you truly do in these moments, is Self- Contemplation.

Meditate on your mistakes and the truths they reveal. Silently assess your weakness and joyously strive towards its removal. Forgive your flaw so that you are healed of all self-debasement. This is practical spirituality; one that is based on living each moment of each day in conscious awareness, without using the heavens, the universe, the masters, and so called ‘light work’ as an escape route.

Stop indulging yourself, my dearest friend….. Discover the glory of the Universe that YOU ARE.
