Chakra-Based Understanding of Karmic Contracts

Let’s take a look at karmic contracts (debt and non-debt) through the seven chakras.

Root Chakra

Karmic-debt contracts at the Root:

Past-life or ancestral patterns of:

Stealing resources

Exiling others

Abandoning family

War, displacement, persecution

Examples:

In one life, you profited by exploiting others’ land; in this life, you might experience:

Loss, insecurity, or displacement

The role of protector, making sure others are not exploited, thus balancing the previous misuse of survival power.

Non-debt contracts at the Root:

Choosing a family where you’ll help create a safe home.

Being the one who organizes, provides, or builds foundations.

Sacral Chakra

Karmic-debt contracts at the Sacral:

Sexual exploitation or manipulation.

Using seduction to control or using sex as currency or power.

Betrayal of trust in intimacy.

Example:

In a previous life, a soul used others for pleasure and discarded them. In this life, they may:

Experience deep heartbreak when they are discarded,

Be given the chance to practice responsible, heart-connected sexuality instead of using others.

Non-debt Sacral contracts:

Agreements to explore creativity, pleasure, trust, and emotional openness together.

Spiritual or creative partners who awaken your sensual and creative life

Solar Plexus

Karmic-debt contracts at the Solar Plexus:

Past misuse of power: tyranny, domination, manipulation, or enslavement.

Oaths of servitude, obedience, or submission that remain energetically active.

Example:

You once used your influence to control others; now you may feel:

Powerless

Afraid of your own power

Repeatedly drawn into controlling/dominated dynamics to learn balanced power.

Non-debt Solar Plexus contracts:

Agreements to:

Step into leadership,

Develop healthy confidence,

Use power in service, not ego.

Heart Chakra

Karmic-debt contracts at the Heart:

Betrayal of love, abandonment, emotional cruelty, rejection.

Oaths like “I will never love again” or “I’ll always punish you” that carry across lifetimes.

Example:

You betrayed someone deeply in love; in another life, you may:

Experience heartbreak that opens your empathy,

Have the opportunity to be loyal, faithful, and kind instead of fleeing.

Non-debt Heart contracts:

Soul friends who come simply to help you experience pure, open-hearted love.

Friends, partners, or spiritual allies who soften your heart and deepen your capacity to give and receive.

Throat Chakra

Karmic-debt contracts at the Throat:

Oaths of silence, secrecy, or loyalty to corrupt power.

Using speech to harm, deceive, falsely accuse, or condemn.

Being executed or punished for speaking truth (leading to fear of expression later).

Example:

In one life, you slandered someone; another life, your soul experiences being misunderstood and not believed, or is called to speak truth responsibly.

Non-debt Throat contracts:

Agreements to:

Be a teacher, singer, storyteller, guide.

Bring healing words into the world.

Give voice to the voiceless.

Third Eye

Karmic-debt contracts at the Third Eye:

Misusing spiritual power: manipulation through prophecy, mind control, cult leadership, deception under spiritual guise.

Refusing to see truth out of convenience or fear.

Example:

Soul used psychic insight for personal gain/manipulation, now they might fear their intuition

Be placed in situations where they must choose truth over illusion and integrity over spiritual ego.

Non-debt Third Eye contracts:

Agreements to awaken as seers, healers, or visionaries who serve from clarity and love.

Co-creating new paradigms, healing ways of seeing the world.

Crown Chakra

Karmic-debt contracts at the Crown:

Spiritual arrogance: believing oneself separate, superior, chosen in a way that oppresses others.

Oaths that cut you off from your own divinity (“I am forsaken,” “I am unworthy of God”).

Example:

Soul led a spiritual movement that shamed or controlled others. Later, it might:

Experience spiritual confusion or crisis,

Be given a path of humble devotion and inclusivity to balance past spiritual pride.

Non-debt Crown contracts:

Agreements to act as a bridge of love.

To hold a clear, stable connection to Source and share it simply by being.
